provided by holding joint elections. <br />costs associated with the Election, <br />Boards. <br />needed, <br /> <br />required by law according to NDCC 16.1-16-01 <br />has been combined with the county according to <br />agreement, the county auditor shall conduct the <br /> <br /> (i) Within 3 days after the result of an election is <br /> declared by the canvassing board the County shall certify <br /> to the City the official results of the election. The <br /> City shall be responsible for issuing a Certificate of <br /> Election to each person elected for a city position. <br /> <br /> (j) The County shall administer absentee balloting in <br /> accordance with NDCC Title 16.1. Absentee voter <br /> applications shall be available from both the County and <br /> the City for all joint elections. All absentee ballots <br /> shall be handled by the County. A city voter requesting <br /> an absentee ballot for the primary election will also be <br /> sent an absentee ballot for the city election. <br /> <br /> COSTS: The County and the City shall share in the savings <br /> <br /> The County shall pay all <br /> Resolution, and Canvassing <br /> <br /> Cost of printing city ballots, if an additional ballot is <br /> will be the responsibility of the city. <br /> <br /> RECOUN?: In the event a recount is properly demanded or is <br /> <br /> for a city election <br /> the law and this <br /> recount according <br /> <br />to NDCC 16.1-16-01 and certify the new results of the election to <br />the city auditor who shall be responsible for issuing new <br />certificates of election if applicable. In the event a recount is <br />properly demanded or is required by law according to NDCC 16.1-16- <br />01 for a special city election which has not been combined with the <br />county according to the law and this agreement, the city auditor, <br />to the extent applicable, shall conduct the recount and perform all <br />duties of the county auditor. The expenses incurred in a recount <br />of a city election, whether 'or not the election was combined with <br />the county, must be paid by the city on a warrant by the city <br /> <br />auditor. <br /> <br /> <br />
