Two deliverables will result from this effort. The first is a workplan that will guide
NDACo's immediate effort, but also serve as a tool for continued planning. The
other will be the final planning document that outlines a series of recommendations
for structure, staffing, project prioritization, infrastructure, security, scheduling, and
purchasing.

Workplan Outline & Timeframe

Febru~,, March April vla June

Review draft workplan with Dept. NDACo Automation Manager, Mike Abel will be overall project supervisor,
and Joe Kramer will be on-site project manager. Additional technical staff will be
brought in to help expedite inventories, interviews, and assessments. Additionally,
NDACo has secured the support of key staff from the ND Information Technology
Department to provide added insight regarding future state networking as well as
staffing and management considerations.

This team has the capabilities and experience to produce an excellent product, and
they are dedicated to meeting the needs of Cass County. It is estimated that this
effort will require 465 hours of professional time, however until the workplan is
finalized this can only be estimated. NDACo will provide a more detailed time and
cost projection by the end of the third project week.

Cass County currently has a $6,000 credit with NDACo for automation work, and
this can be used to "write-down" the cost of the planning effort. If the 465 hour
estimate is accurate, the total cost of the project would be $24,645. After exhausting
the credit available, the balance needed is estimated at $18,645.
