representative of the inmates commitment. <br /> <br />All inmates brought to the Barnes County facilitv are presumed NOT to have work release <br />privilege unless a court order otherwise is preser~ted for the inmates file. <br /> <br />If an inmate is allowed work release by a Court, the inmate will need to sign a work release <br />agreement with Barnes County, and it is understood in this contract, and from the aorecment the <br />inmate signs, that work release is a privilege that may be discontinued bv Barnes Cgun~,, should <br />the inmate violate the terms and conditions of his/her work release agreement. Barnes ~ounty <br />shall document in the inmates file the circumstances of the violations of the work release <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Should an inmate not return from work release to the facility, a report shall be submitted to the <br />Barnes County State's Attorney for a possible "Escape" charge, and if this matter would be <br />considered a felony, the Contracting Agency would indemnify Barnes County for the costs of <br />extradition of the inmate back to Barnes County. <br /> <br />MEDICAL <br /> <br />Barnes County contracts with the Valley City/Barnes Countv Health Department. herein kno~wf <br />as "Health Department", for medical services for the inmates. Barnes County is billed $2200 an <br />hour for health-related matters with inmates. Contracting Agencv will be responsible for Health <br />Department bills, and will be billed on a monthly basis for those ~osts. <br /> <br />Contracting Agency w/Il pay any costs associated w/th the hospitalization &the inmate, <br />including ambulance costs, emergency care, or costs of guard duty should an inmate need to be <br />guarded. In lieu thereof, should an inmate need to be guarded, the Contracting Agency could <br />provide that service upon the authorization of the Barnes County Sheriff. The hourly rate lbr <br />guard duty shall be $15.00 per hour. <br /> <br />Any inmate being held in the facility for more than 14 days must have a medical screenimz done <br />by our Medical Provider. Any inmate sentenced for more than 30 days must have a HIV ~st <br />which includes pre and post counseling. <br /> <br /> <br />
