CONTRACT FOR PRISONER BOARDING <br /> <br />Whereas, Barnes County is the site of the "Barnes County Correctional Center", herein known as <br />"Barnes County', this facility being a Class 1 North Dakota Jail facility, and <br /> <br />Whereas, other Counties and Agencies, herein known as "Contracting Agency", desire to utilize <br />Barnes County as the site to board their inmates, and <br /> <br />Whereas, this contract, and the obligations of Barnes County and the Contracting Agency, is <br />bound by the rules and statutes set forth in the North Dakota Century, Code and Administrative <br />Code, and <br /> <br />Whereas, Barnes County agrees to provide room and board to the Contracting Agencies' inmates, <br />subject to the conditions below, and <br /> <br />Whereas, both Barnes County and the Contracting Agency now, in consideration of mutual <br />agreements, enter into a contract for the boarding of persons at the Barnes County Correctional <br />Center, as follows: <br /> <br />COSTS & DUTIES <br /> <br />Contracting Agency agrees to pay Barnes County the sum of $ ,~.,~),OE~ per day, per <br />inmate. A "day" consists of any portion of 24 hours in said facility, and begins at the time <br />of booking. <br /> <br />The Committed Inmate will pay Barnes County $I0.00 extra, for a total ors ~q~), CT), per <br />day, per inmate, should the inmate be allowed work release by the Contracting Agencies <br />criminal judgment (see section on "Work Release" herein). <br /> <br />Contracting Agency will pay any extradition costs associated with their imnate. The <br />Barnes county State's Attorney has agreed to, upon request by the Contracting Agency in <br />any given case, to appear on behalf of the Contracting Agency, at hearings associated with <br />the extradition of one of their inmates into or out of the Barnes County facility. <br /> <br />Contracting Agency will pay prescription drug costs associated with the inmate. (See <br />section on "Medical" herein). <br /> <br />It shall be the responsibility of the Jurisdiction from which the inmate has been committed <br />to the facility to notify the facility as soon as possible of the reason for said commitment, <br />and to provide the facility, as soon as possible, any paperwork such as warrants and <br />Criminal Complaints.
