We will be requesting the release of the $100,000 commitment from the county and providing a list of potential third party partners in early January 2002. As you know, a task force was created earlier this year to identify possible strate~es to increase the skill levels of our under-employed and refugee population. The goal is to enhance the skill level of a pool of workers in 2002 and successfully place them with the county manufacturing employment sector. We are pl~nlng a two-phase approach be=m.'nning in early January and the plan w/Il develop in 2002 as follows: PHASE I (January Through March 2002) -Pike Training Coordinator -Establish a manufacturer AdvisorY Group -Design Curriculum -Develop enrolknent criteria -Develop accountability/outcomes plan PHASE II (April through December 2002) -Begin enrollment process -Identify instructors -Start training courses -Explore grant writing options -Confn-m City of Fargo 2002 funding Thank you for taking the time to review this infonnatxon and we are exmted about the oppormmty to begin this "Pilot" program.
