federal social security, unemployment insurance, or worker's compensation, except as <br />a self-employed individual. Provider is an independent contractor. <br /> <br />XXIV. INDEMNITY: <br /> <br />Provider shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances applicable to <br />the work to be done under this agreement. <br /> <br />Provider shall save and hold harmless the COUNTY, its officers, agents, employees, <br />and members, from all claims, suits, or actions of whatsoever nature resulting from or <br />arising out of the activities of Provider or its agents, employees or subcontractors under <br />this agreement. <br /> <br />XXV. COLLATERAL CONTRACTS: <br /> <br />Where there exists any inconsistency between this agreement and other provisions of <br />collateral contractual agreements that are made a part of this agreement by reference <br />or otherwise, the provisions of this agreement shall control. <br /> <br />XXVI. NON-DISCRIMINATION: <br /> <br />COUNTY makes available all services and assistance without regard to race, color, <br />national origin, religion, age, sex, or handicap, and is subject to Title VI of the Civil <br />Rights Act of 1964. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1975 as amended. <br />Persons who contract with or receive funds to provide services for COUNTY are <br />obligated to abide by the provisions of these federal laws.
