<br />---- <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />ROTATIONAL DEPARTMENT MEETING <br />OCTOBER 15, 2001--2:20 PM <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman John Meyer called the Rotational Group "B" meeting to order with <br />commissioners present as follows: Alon Wieland, and John Meyer. Scott <br />Wagner and Robyn Sorum arrived later in the meeting. Also present were Kathy <br />Ziegelmann and Birch Burdick. Donna Schneider, Brad Cogdill and Jim Brent <br />were absent. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES <br />States Attornev <br />. Mr. Burdick said his office is fully staffed and he is re-arranging job duties <br />to equalize work loads and see if additional staff will be needed in the <br />future. <br /> <br />He said the number of drug cases has increased significantly compared to <br />last year. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />He said the juvenile drug court program will continue and currently there <br />are juveniles involved. The program is working with a judge from New <br />Mexico and he feels much progress has been made. He said the program <br />targets juveniles whose crimes are related to drugs or alcohol. <br /> <br />Reaional Child Support <br />. Mrs. Ziegelmann said an interim legislative committee continues to <br />study Regional Child Support becoming a state office. Currently, <br />the committee is looking at the functions of the department and <br />financial implications of becoming a state office. She has provided <br />her phone number to committee members if they have questions or <br />need any information. <br /> <br />. She received a letter from Mike Schwindt on final incentive <br />payments received for fiscal year 2000.
