<br />Commission Minutes--March 19,2001 2255 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MARCH 19, 2001 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Vice Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present <br />as follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner and Robyn Sorum. John Meyer was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order aDDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order <br />of the agenda with one addition to the consent agenda being a <br />request for leave of absence by an employee in the Sheriff's <br />Department. Motion carried. <br /> <br />~ 4. RESOLUTION #2001-4, Condolences to the familv of the late John Schneider <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to adopt Resolution <br />#2001-4 as follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of the <br />untimely death of United States Attorney, John Schneider, <br />Fargo, North Dakota, on March 9, 2001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, John Schneider served on many local, state and federal <br />committees, and he served in the North Dakota Legislature <br />from 1982-1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, John Schneider is a brother-in-law of fellow Cass County <br />Commissioner, Donna Schneider. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners of <br />Cass County, North Dakota, does hereby express its heartfelt condolences <br />to the John Schneider family. <br /> <br />,~ <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed upon the <br />permanent records of the proceedings of the Cass County Board of <br />Commissioners and a copy forwarded to the family. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 19th day of March, 2001. <br />
