<br />Commission Minutes--January 2, 2001 2223 <br /> <br />-- DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />,-- <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 2, 2001 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meetings of November 20,2000, and December 18, 2000, <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order aDDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br />order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) revise date of raffle <br />permit for Sandhills Archers to January 11, 2000; 2) add contract with <br />Cass County Abstract and three Social Services contracts; and 3) <br />move board appointments from the consent agenda to the regular <br />agenda for discussion. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 2001 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to elect John Meyer <br />as Cass County Commission Chairman for 2001 and to elect Alon <br />Wieland as Vice Chairman for 2001. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />with four members voting "Aye" and Mr. Meyer passing. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />COMMISSION MEETING DATES/ROTATIONAL MEETINGS/ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDERI <br />DESIGNATE PARLIAMENTARIAN <br />MOT/ON, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to adopt the 2001 <br />Cass County Commission meeting schedule as the first and third <br />Monday of each month (Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, <br />with rotational meetings at 1 :30/2:00 PM on Commission meeting <br />days, and special meetings as called and to forward a copy of the <br />meeting schedule to the Secretary of State and the County Auditor's <br />Office; to adopt Robert's Rules of Order for conducting meetings; and <br />to appoint Commission Secretary Joyce Schepp as parliamentarian <br />for Cass County Commission proceedings for 2001. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />.. <br />
