<br />Commission Minutes--November 20, 2000 2221 <br /> <br />15. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve Voucher <br />No. 146,056 through No. 147,116. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />16. MEETING UPDATES; LEGISLATIVE LUNCHEON; JAIL PROJECT UPDATE; FUTURE OF <br />CURRENT JAIL, Committee reports <br />Commissioners reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, as well as <br />upcoming meetings. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, reminded Commissioners of the legislative luncheon <br />tomorrow at 11 :30 AM in the Commission Room at the Courthouse. <br /> <br />Due to weather conditions, Mrs. Johnson reported that the jail construction project is about four <br />weeks behind schedule, and contractors hope the time can be made up in the spring when the <br />weather is more conducive to construction. <br /> <br />Concerning the future of the current jail, Mrs. Johnson sought the board's concurrence to <br />include Fargo Municipal Court in the planning stages for possible remodeling of that facility <br />because they may be interested in relocating close to the court system since they are running <br />out of space at Fargo City Hall. Commissioners were in agreement to invite Fargo officials to <br />attend future jail planning meetings. <br /> <br />17. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />letter from Governor Edward Schafer concerning final payment of the Kindred True Value <br />Hardware Community Development Block Grant Loan; <br /> <br />copy of letter to Reed Township Board of Supervisors from County Engineer Keith Berndt <br />concerning the condition of a bridge over the Sheyenne River on the north side of <br />Section 18, Reed Township. <br /> <br />18.
