<br />Commission Minutes--September 5, 2000 2191 <br /> <br />Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, reminded Commissioners that the public hearing on the <br />2001 budget is scheduled for the next board meeting, September 18, 2000, at 3:30 PM. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, updated Commissioners about ongoing buildings and <br />grounds improvement projects, such as interior painting at the Courthouse, window washing, <br />installation of a lawn sprinkler system across 9th Street, and a drainage project at the south end <br />of the Courthouse. <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick reported on a meeting held at 2:30 PM today with County Engineer Keith Berndt, <br />County Tax Director Frank Klein, and Irv Rustad from Lake Agassiz Regional Council to <br />begin considerations for the purchase of greenways along the river, using flood buy-out money. <br /> <br />17. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation information regarding bridge inventory, <br />transportation enhancement projects, and County Road Advisors' conference in Rapid <br />City, South Dakota, on October 25 and 26, 2000; <br /> <br />additional form letters from Cass County residents opposing the dike/ditch option as a <br />flood control measure and supporting water retention sites. <br /> <br />18.
