CASS COUNIY
GOVERNMENT
-'-

County
Coordinator

Bonnie Johnson

MEMO

TO:

County Commissioners
Bonnie JOhnSO~-

FROM:

DATE:

April 7, 2005

SUBJECT: Vector Control Facility Bids

On April 6, 2005, Architect Terry Stroh contacted me about the
Commission's motion continuing the vector building discussion until early May.
Following the meeting, the contractors met with Mr. Stroh and indicated they
needed a more rapid resolution on this bid because springtime is their prime
season for getting projects underway. Therefore, they were requesting an
expedited decision from the board as to whether the county intends to
proceed with this project.

Mr. Stroh's office hopes to have this matter resolved for the
Commission on April 18th. If he is unable to do so, the item would be pulled
from the agenda and set for May 2nd.

SUGGESTED MOTIONS:
1) Approve first reading of Amended Ordinance #2004-1 increasing
the expenditures and length of years for a vector control building;
OR
2) Awarding bids as modified and outlined by Terry Stroh in the
revised documents;
OR
3) Reject all bids.

Box 2806
211 Ninth Street South cc
Fargo, North Dakota 58108

701-241-5720
Fax: 701-297-6020

Keith Berndt

K:\BJ\VECTOR BIDS-MOTIONS 4-18-05.doc
