<br />Commission Minutes--June 19, 2000 2144 <br /> <br />17. MEETING UPDATES; PARK BOARD SUBCOMMITTEE; FLOOD MASTER PLAN UPDATE; <br />ELECTIONS AND 911 FEE; WORKER'S COMPENSATION PREMIUM SAVINGS; JAIL <br />GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY; Committee reoorts <br />Commissioners reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, as well as <br />upcoming meetings. Mrs. Schneider said she held a subcommittee meeting at Brewer Lake last <br />Monday and will provide a copy of their report to all Commissioners prior to the next Park Board <br />meeting. Mrs. Quick reported that the Flood Master Planning Committee will prepare a <br />summary and list of recommendations in the near future. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir reported on the recent election process, and he said rural citizens voted in favor <br />of the 911 question on the ballot. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, reported on Worker's Compensation premium savings <br />in the amount of $4,110 as a result of her attendance at two risk management seminars during <br />the year. <br /> <br />A ceremonial ground-breaking will be held at the site of the future Cass County Jail on Monday, <br />June 26, 2000, at 1 :00 PM. <br /> <br />18. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />information from North Dakota Department of Transportation regarding a Right of Way <br />conference in Fargo on July 26 and 27, 2000; and a program sheet for the 2001-2003 <br />Federal Aid Program; <br /> <br />Letter from John Adams, Mayor of Briarwood, saying the City Council supports water <br />retention sites and opposes a dike or ditch option as a flood control measure. <br /> <br />19.
