<br />Commission Minutes--April 3, 2000 2110 <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, reported that she attended a luncheon with Architect <br />Terry Stroh, where he received an award from the Mayor's Committee on Disabilities for creative <br />adaptation in designing the Courthouse front entrance to meet handicapped-accessibility <br />standards. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said remodeling of the Courthouse lunch counter was completed last week and <br />re-opened for business today. The cafeteria was closed for about three weeks due to the death <br />of the proprietor, Vivian Miller. The new contractor is Mike Vangsnes/Luigis, who was selected <br />by a county committee to operate in the newly remodeled area. <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick reminded Commissioners of the schedule of citizen awareness meetings prepared <br />by Sheriff Don Rudnick, with the first meeting being held in Page on April 11, 2000. <br /> <br />14. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Quick moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: North Dakota <br />Department of Transportation notice of bid openings in Bismarck on <br />April 14, 2000, for regrading, surfacing and incidentals on County <br />Road 81 three miles south of Interstate 94, and for structure and <br />approaches over the Wild Rice River six miles south of Interstate 94. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />15.
