<br />Commission Minutes--January 3, 2000 2078 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 3, 2000 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />A meeting of the Cass County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 3:30 PM by the <br />board's 1999 chairperson, Robbie Quick, with four members present as follows: Paul Koenig, <br />Alon Wieland, John Meyer and Robbie Quick. Donna Schneider was absent. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOT/ON, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOT/ON, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with one addition to the consent agenda for approval of <br />a request to adjust the 1999 Register of Deeds' budget. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />4. COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 2000 <br />MOT/ON, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to elect John Meyer as <br />Cass County Commission Chairman for 2000 and to elect Paul Koenig <br />as Vice Chairman for 2000. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. Mr. Meyer conducted the remainder of the meeting. <br /> <br />5. COMMISSION MEETING DATES/ROTATIONAL MEETINGS/ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER! <br />DESIGNATE PARLIAMENTARIAN <br />MOT/ON, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to adopt the 2000 Cass <br />County Commission meeting schedule as the first and third Monday <br />of each month (Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with <br />rotational meetings at 1 :30/2:00 PM on Commission meeting days, <br />and special meetings as called, and to forward a copy of the meeting <br />schedule to the Secretary of State and the County Auditor's Office; to <br />adopt Robert's Rules of Order for conducting meetings; and to <br />appoint Commission Secretary, Joyce Schepp, as parliamentarian for <br />Cass County Commission proceedings for 2000. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 1.30. Commissioner Portfolios <br />MOT/ON, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to amend Personnel <br />Policy Manual Section 1.30, Commissioner Portfolios, as follows: On <br />roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />
