ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that the County Commission of Cass County, North Dakota, having an address of 211 9th Street S will meet at Moore Engineering Inc; 1042 14TH Avenue East, West Fargo, ND, at 10:00 on the 25th day of February, 2005 for the purpose of opening bids for the construction of Street Improvement Dist. #2005-1; in accordance with the plans and specifications which are on file with the County Auditor of said County. Copies thereof may be obtained from Moore Engineering Inc.; 1042 14th Avenue East; West Fargo ND 58078 by depositing $50.00, non-refundable, with said engineer. Bids will be received until the above set forth time. The work includes the following approximate quantities: 2600 C.Y. Excavation; 21,800 S.Y. Subgrade Preparation; 800 C.Y. Subgrade Excavation; 16,800 S.Y. 2" Asphalt Wear Course; 16,800 S.Y. 3" Asphalt Base Course; 840 Gal. Tack Coat; 4,600 Ton Gravel - NDDOT Class 5; 11,400 S.Y. Seeding; 1 L.Sum Material Testing and other miscellaneous items. Bids must show the total bid for all proposal quantities. Any contract award shall be on the basis of the amount of the total bid and shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. One contract will be awarded. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder's bond in a sum equal to 5% of the full amouflt of the bid executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and a contract is awarded to the principal, the principal, within 10 days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and a contractor's bond as required by law. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required under that section. Each bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid. A copy of the contractor's license or certificate of renewal shall be in a separate envelope attached to the outside of the bidding document. No bid may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the requirements of Section 48- 01.1-05 of the North Dakota Century Code and that any deficient bid submitted must be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately. The work for said project shall be completed by July 31, 2005 or as stated in the Special Provisions. The County Commission reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for the opening thereof, and to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
