<br />HEART: Hovden's family <br />thanks all for support <br /> <br />From Page A 10 <br /> <br />The drawbacks are minor, <br />however, "considering the <br />alternative," she said. <br />Hovden's family issued a <br />written message Friday, <br />thanking the Fargo-Moorhead <br />community for prayers and <br />support. <br />"Don is recovering now <br />from a long surgery in which <br />he received a heart trans- <br />plant," the note read. <br />"He is looking forward to <br />resuming his active life in <br />Fargo and making good on his <br />promise of a puppy for his 7- <br />year-old son, Brent. <br />"Our thoughts and prayers <br />go out to the family that gave <br />Don this precious gift of life," <br />the message read. <br />Smithson said the family <br />does not yet know the identi- <br />ty of the heart donor, except <br />that it was a young person <br />from the Minneapolis-St. <br />Paul area.
