The program is being put together and run
by the North Dakota Association of Counties through an agreement with the
State Department of Emergency Management (OEM), The document you
are being asked to approve now is the formal budget for the $200,000
grant. Following approval of this grant budget, the NDACo will bill the
county for expenses incurred in the performance of the grant, and those
invoices will be sent by the county to OEM, who will pay NDACo directly.

The reason Cass County is involved in this grant is because the federal
guidelines called for a local government sponsor of the grant - the state
could not directly grant the funds to NDACo.

Sincerely,

(fr.k-~~.

Michael Montplaisir
County Auditor

SUGGESTED MOTION:
Move to approve the detail budget totaling $200,000 for the NIMS training
program and to forward the budget to the Department of Emergency
Management.

J:\AUDITOR\SCHEPP\NIMS budget 2-7-05.doc
