<br />Commission Minutes--December 6, 2004 2824 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS: PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />DECEMBER 6, 2004 <br /> <br />1. OATHS OF OFFICE <br />Presiding District Judge Georgia Dawson administered the oath of office to newly elected <br />commissioner, Ken Pawluk, and to newly re-elected commissioners, Robyn Sorum and <br />Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. <br /> <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Vern Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />4. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the last <br />regular meeting held November 15, 2004, the minutes of the executive <br />meetings held November 19 and November 29, 2004, and the minutes of <br />the informal planning session held November 22, 2004, be approved as <br />written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of one Highway Department purchase order for <br />new equipment. Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 2004-2005 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to elect Commissioner <br />Darrell Vanyo as Cass County Commission Chairman and to elect <br />Commissioner Vern Bennett as Vice Chairman for the period of <br />December 6, 2004 to December 5, 2005. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. Mr. Vanyo conducted the remainder of today's <br />meeting. <br /> <br />7. COMMISSION MEETING DATES/ROTATIONAL MEETINGS/ROBERT'S RULES OF <br />ORDER/DESIGNATE PARLIAMENTARIAN <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to adopt the 2005 Cass <br />County Commission meeting schedule as the first and third Monday of <br />each month (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with rotational <br />meetings at 2:00 PM on commission meeting days, and special meetings <br />as called, and to forward a copy of the meeting schedule to the Secretary <br />of State and the County Auditor's Office; to adopt Robert's Rules of Order <br />
