The property is necessary for the planned 64th Avenue South Bridge replacement project. Offers were made in recent weeks to all 5 property owners. As of the time of this writing, 2 of the owners have declined to sell at the appraised value. Discussions are still underway with the other 3, but none have accepted. I would like to discuss this matter in more detail at a Road Advisory Meeting on December 20. I will provide additional information under separate cover with the Road Advisory Committee packet. If properties can not be purchased at a fair and reasonable price, I will recommend that the Commission pass resolutions for each property to initiate condemnation proceedings. SUGGESTED MOTION: Approve purchase or condemnation of 64th A venue south properties as recommended by the Road Advisory Committee.
