<br />Commission Minutes-November 1, 2004 <br /> <br />2815 <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson's memo included a copy of the notice from Ted Gladden, Chairman of the <br />Court Facilities Improvement Advisory Committee, as well as an application for grant funds. <br />She suggested applying for planning funds for developing a proposed courthouse addition, <br />for maintenance items such as paint and carpet, window caulking and seal replacement and <br />floor refinishing. She thought the money could be placed in a building fund for the future. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner said he believes the grant funds are intended more for remodeling and <br />maintenance projects, rather than new construction. Mrs. Johnson asked for direction from <br />the board on the amount of funding they would like to request; and Mrs. Sorum suggested <br />referring the question to the county building committee. Mrs. Johnson will arrange for them <br />to meet next week with a report back to the full commission at the November 15th meeting. <br /> <br />11. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve Vouchers No. <br />191,930 through No. 192,233. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />12. BUILDING AND GROUNDS UPDATE; JOINT DISPATCH CENTER OPEN HOUSE, <br />Committee reports <br />Mrs. Johnson updated the board on buildings and grounds items. <br /> <br />Mr. Vanyo said he was very impressed at his first time visiting the Red River Regional <br />Dispatch Center during their open house held last Wednesday. <br /> <br />13. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />notice of public hearing on Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs <br />at the Lake Agassiz Regional Council Office, 417 Main Avenue, Fargo, at 2:00 PM on <br />November 10, 2004; <br />notice to landowners of annexation by the City of West Fargo, which includes county- <br />owned flood lots in Meadow Brook Park Subdivision. An informational meeting will be <br />held at the West Fargo City Hall at 7:00 PM on November 9th; and a public hearing to <br />determine the sufficiency of any protests will be held in the City Commission Room, <br />West Fargo City Hall, at 5:45 PM on November 29, 2004. <br /> <br />14.
