<br />Commission Minutes-November 1, 2004 <br /> <br />2812 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS: PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />NOVEMBER 1, 2004 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Bonnie Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as corrected, adding a sentence to the <br />discussion on vector facility planning at Mr. Meyer's request. The <br />correction is to add that the weed officer could move into an office in the <br />vector facility if the weed board decides to move to the new building. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda, with the addition of a contract with Houston Engineering, Inc. <br />and a contract with the North Dakota Department of Transportation for <br />traffic safety funds. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD, Proxy vote for board of directors at annual meeting <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chairwoman <br />to sign the proxy vote for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota <br />board of directors' annual meeting to be held at 9:00 AM on December 3, <br />2004, at 4510 13th Avenue SW, Fargo. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Cities of Casselton. Mapleton. Horace and Kindred; Houston <br />Engineering; North Dakota Department of Transportation <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the following <br />contracts submitted by respective department head, subject to state's <br />attorney approval, and authorize the chairwoman to sign: On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Cities of Casselton, Mapleton, Horace and Kindred for contract policing; <br />Houston Engineering, Inc. for preliminary engineering services for <br />project TB0503, Sections 29-30, Everest Township, bridge replacement; <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation traffic safety funds for <br />overtime wages to enforce seat belt usage. <br />
