CASS COUNTY <br /> GOVERNMENT <br /> MEMO <br /> TO: Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> PERSONNEL FROM: Cindy Stoick, HR Supervisor <br /> OFFICE Cass County Personnel Office <br /> Human Resource DATE: October 15, 2014 <br /> Department <br /> SUBJECT: Personnel Policy Manual Review <br /> There has been discussion over the past several months to look into <br /> reviewing the Cass County Personnel Policy Manual. The county currently <br /> has a contract with Associated Financial Group (AFG), a company that <br /> provides these types of services, and will review the manual at a reduced <br /> rate. <br /> Over the past two years since the county has contracted with AFG, staff <br /> from the Personnel Office and State's Attorney's Office have used their legal <br /> services when HR questions arise. Their expertise has been invaluable as <br /> their attorneys are experts in employment law. <br /> I recommend the board enter into an agreement with AFG to perform a <br /> review of the manual, which will include a meeting with a HR consultant, <br /> develop a rough draft, preparation of the final version and an electronic copy <br /> of the final manual. <br /> SUGGESTED MOTION: <br /> Move to authorize the chairman to sign an Employee Handbook Service <br /> Agreement with Associated Financial Group to review and make revisions <br /> to the Cass County Personnel Policy Manual at a cost of $2,380. <br /> Box 2806 <br /> 211 Ninth Street South <br /> Fargo,North Dakota 58108 <br /> 701-241-5725 <br /> Fax:701-241-5728 <br />
