I checked with the ND 911 Association at the <br /> time to find out what was happening in other counties in ND. The information revealed that Emergency Managers were <br /> typically 911 coordinators in very small counties, or in counties where that county had their own dispatch center and the <br /> Emergency Manager had a dual role including managing their dispatch center. The commission declined to transfer the <br /> 911 coordinator duties at the time. <br /> Cass is unique because of the combined RRRDC. In Cass County the role of the 911 coordinator is largely a figurehead <br /> representative for 911 as RRRDC represents Cass on the ND 911 Association for technical and policy issues surrounding <br /> the 911 system.
