Commission Minutes—September 15, 2014 4369 <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 15, 2014 <br /> 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM with all members present as <br /> follows: Chad M. Peterson, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. Darrell Vanyo <br /> was present via conference call. <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 3. MINUTES APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Bennett moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> 4. AGENDA, Order approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the order of <br /> the agenda. Motion carried. <br /> 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Bennett moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded to approve the consent <br /> agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> a. Receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Michael Hofer and <br /> Apartment Pros; and authorize the county auditor and county treasurer to issue <br /> duplicate checks. <br /> b. Receive the monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month <br /> ended August 31, 2014. <br /> c. Approve the 2014-2015 federal aid program sheet as revised by the county <br /> engineer, and authorize the chairman to sign. <br /> d. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order with SFI for carpet replacement <br /> on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Annex in the amount of $141,584; and authorize <br /> the chairman to sign a purchase order with Hatton Ford, Inc. for one (1) 2014 Ford <br /> 250 crew pick up for Vector Control in the amount of$26,572. <br /> e. Contract approval <br /> - Red River Valley Fair Association—facilities license agreement for the Sheriff's <br /> Department to use the midway at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds to conduct <br /> Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) training at no charge to Cass <br /> County; <br /> - Terracon Consultants, Inc.—task order to complete a geotechnical study on a <br /> slide located on Cass County Highway 14 in Section 24 of Stanley Township. <br />
