One was to allow for the purchase of six (6) Mobile
Computer Terminals, 12 Drivers License Bar Code Readers and 12
Printers for our Squad Cars. The second was for the purchase of
Three (3) Drivers License ID units for use in alcohol enforcement
activities.

I neglected to ask for budget adjustments in the amount of the
grants at the time they were approved by the Commission and would
request that the Commission authorize the appropriate adjustments
to the revenue and expense accounts to cover these costs.

A sample motion might read:

Move to authorize the Auditor's Office to make the
appropriate revenue and expense changes in the 2004 budget
of $40,925.00 as a result of two Department of
Transportation grants received by the Sheriff and previously
approved by the County Commission.

If you have any further questions, please call.

Respectfully,

'Major Glenn Ellingsberg
Group Commander

enclosure/1

pc

Don Rudnick, Sheriff
Michael Montplaisir, Auditor
Lt.
