O / A L "'" 4 <br /> w►' jaffsioripor ry:T. <br /> glAge T V <br /> The Cass County Sheriff's Office provides educational material, training sessions and <br /> guidance to the general public on crime prevention measures and traffic safety. <br /> TRIAD, Click It or Ticket, and Cops-N-Shops are three that our office promotes in our <br /> communities. <br /> The Cass County Sheriff's Office maintains the "Adopt a Community" program within <br /> Cass County and work with our rural school districts to promote a unified school response <br /> for safe and secure schools through our School Resource Deputies. <br /> The Cass County Sheriff's Office and our Schools are committed to ensuring a safe <br /> learning experience for our youth. Our Unified School Response Safety Coordinator will <br /> provide assistance and training whenever requested or as situations change or new <br /> one emerge to support this objective. <br /> The Cass County Sheriff's Office continues to cooperate and coordinate activities that <br /> reduce criminal activities and promote safer communities. This will include alcohol and <br /> drug interdiction programs. <br /> The Cass County Sheriff's Office will continues to provide law enforcement services to those <br /> cities within Cass County that desire contract policing agreements. Currently Casselton, <br /> Mapleton, Horace and Kindred are under contract with Cass County. <br /> The Cass County Sheriff's Office will recruit,train and utilize part time Sheriff's Reserve <br /> Unit deputies for special events whenever possible. Our office will also utilizes POST <br /> licensed jail staff who have completed Field readiness Training(FRT)to fill patrol slots <br /> during emergencies or shortages, and to compliment patrol deputies. <br /> The Cass County Sheriff's Office will provide a yearly training program which will provide <br /> pertinent training to staff according to their assigned duties and in accordance with <br /> standards mandated by state statute and the ND POST Board. <br /> Gants will continue to be sought to help fund programs that will make our roads in Cass <br /> County safe for the motoring public. Working with the State of ND to promote electronic <br /> means to transmit data on violators including traffic and criminal information. <br /> -1- <br />
