Four <br /> companies and 92 students from Fargo, Moorhead and Park Christian attended the <br /> spring event. <br /> • Met with NDSU & NDSCS to continue conversations regarding academically suspended <br /> students. <br /> • Continued participation in the Education that Works committee. The committee includes <br /> leadership at the public schools in Moorhead, Fargo and West Fargo as well as the <br /> United Way. Assisted with various projects that are a part of this initiative. <br /> • Presented workforce information at three conference and two small group meetings. <br /> Attended two career fairs representing smartmovefm.com. <br /> • Met with four individuals who are seeking employment in Fargo Moorhead. <br /> • Coordinated Job Shadowing Program. Four companies hosted approximately 96 tri- <br /> college students who were able to view the workplace environment and participate in a <br /> Q &A. <br /> • Attended StepWork Conference in Orlando, FL with Dr. Heidi Manning from Concordia. <br /> Discussed ideas for how to grow the number of students graduating in the STEM fields. <br /> • Helped with the planning of West Fargo's professional development day, InSourced. <br /> • Attended Train ND Summit to review the current programs offered by Train ND and <br /> discussed how they meet the needs to ND employers. <br /> Objective 4: Build regional capacity/implement Cass/Clay Economic Plan. <br /> • Collaborative participation in planning and sponsorship for Start-Up Weekend 2014, a 54 <br /> hour exercise for entrepreneurs. James Gartin served as the host for the Sunday <br /> Evening Pitch Finale. <br /> • Attended Start Up Drinks events which occurred approximately 1/month <br /> • Partnered with Arthur Ventures to hold the 2nd Annual Cultivate.you Event.
