Commission Minutes—May 19, 2014 4296 <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 19, 2014 <br /> 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br /> follows: Chad M. Peterson, Darrell Vanyo, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Cindy Stoick led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 3. MINUTES APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> 4. AGENDA, Order approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the order of the <br /> agenda with the following additions: to the Consent Agenda--a purchase <br /> order to complete a County Space Analysis and Feasibility Study, and a <br /> purchase order to replace a commercial water heater at the Cass County <br /> Jail; and to the Regular Agenda--a purchase order for a replacement <br /> mower for Brewer Lake. Motion carried. <br /> 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent <br /> agenda as follows with the addition of the two previously listed purchase <br /> orders: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> a. Receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, <br /> Sandi Joann Boehm, Jon Lipp, and Maria Roesch; and authorize the county auditor and <br /> county treasurer to issue duplicate checks. <br /> b. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended April <br /> 30, 2014. <br /> c. Approve a special event permit for the West Fargo Speedway Steakhouse & Event <br /> Center to serve alcoholic beverages on August 23, 2014, during the hours of 5:00 PM to <br /> 12:00 AM for a wedding reception to be held at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in West Fargo, <br /> North Dakota. <br /> d. Discontinue spring load restrictions for Cass County hard surfaced highways on May <br /> 22, 2014, and gravel highways on May 29, 2014. <br /> e. Contract approval <br /> - JT Lawn Service, LLC—lawn maintenance and grass clipping on various county- <br /> owned lots. <br /> f. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order with Foss Architecture & Interiors in <br /> the amount of $47,610 to complete a County Space Analysis and Feasibility Study; and <br /> authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order with Brekke Sales in the amount of <br /> $21,506 to replace a commercial water heater at the Cass County Jail. <br />
