Commission Minutes—May 5, 2014 4290 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 5, 2014 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Chad M. Peterson, Darrell Vanyo, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Peterson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the addition of the Flood Diversion monthly billing to the regular agenda. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Grant site authorization permits to conduct games of chance under license issued by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015, as follows: Veteran's, Inc. at the Bronco Bar, Chaffee; Red River Human Services Foundation at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill, Wild Rice; The Arc, Upper Valley, Inc. at the Club 94, Casselton; and Christine Volunteer Firefighters, Inc. at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker, Hickson. b. Receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Joshua Blair Erickson, Brown & Crouppen PC, Gate City Bank, Jake Murray, and Lisa Eggebraaten; and authorize the county auditor and county treasurer to issue duplicate checks. c. Approve a raffle permit for the Sylstad Family Benefit to be held July 18, 2014, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota; and approve a raffle permit for Triple C 4-H Club to be held May 18, 2014, at the Scholander Pavilion at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota. d. Approve a permit to conduct a poker tournament for the Randy and Jessie Neameyer Benefit to be held May 17, 2014, at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker in Hickson, North Dakota. e. Approve a special event permit for B & G Beverages II, Inc. d/b/a the Town Hall Bar to serve alcoholic beverages on Saturday, May 10, 2014, during the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM for an Eco Chic Boutique event at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota. f. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order with Adapco, Inc. in the amount of $14,089.00 for spraying equipment to be used by Cass County Vector Control. g. Contract approval - Flood lot lease renewal for 2014;
