Laney, Sheriff RECEIVED April 9, 2014 APP' 1 ' 2014 (ASS COUNTY COMMISSION Commissioner Vanyo, Portfolio Commissioner Cass County Commission Cass County Courthouse Fargo, ND 58103 Re: Donation of Cass County Sheriffs Office Squad Car to the Bonanzaville Law Enforcement Museum Regular Agenda Chairman Pawluk: We have received a letter from the Law Enforcement Museum (attached)for your review requesting that a Cass County Sheriff's Office squad car be donated to the Law Enforcement Museum. The Cass County Sheriff's Office respectfully requests that Cass County Government donate squad#53, Vehicle Identification Number 2G1WS57M191282900 a 2009 Chevrolet Impala to the Bonanzaville Law Enforcement Museum. This vehicle was retired from service April 2014 and the current odometer reading is 139,943 miles. We propose that the equipment currently in the vehicle which is a radio/siren, light bar and radar unit with the exception of the partition remain with the vehicle, as well as the Sheriff's Office decals. The equipment we propose to remain with the vehicle is antiquated, and we will longer utilize the equipment. Move to authorize the chairman to authorize the transfer of title of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala and equipment left in the vehicle to the Law Enforcement Museum so it may be maintained for future generations to enjoy.
