Commission Minutes—April 7, 2014 4282 <br /> 11. FLOOD DIVERSION MONTHLY BILLING, Approved <br /> Mr. Montplaisir discussed the billing from the FM Diversion Board of Authority for the month <br /> of March, 2014. The major expenses are the county's share of engineering, planning, and <br /> construction management services. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the expenses <br /> for the Flood Diversion Board of Authority in the amount of $795,545.79 <br /> for month of March, 2014. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> 12. VOUCHERS, Approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve Voucher No. <br /> 277,192 through Voucher No. 277,561. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 13. SECURITY STATION IMPROVEMENTS; SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT SPACE ANALYSIS <br /> STUDY; WORKFORCE SAFETY INSURANCE REBATE; ELECTION FILING DEADLINE, <br /> Committee reports <br /> Mr. Berndt said a bid opening will be held on April 15th for security station improvements at <br /> the Courthouse and Annex. <br /> Mr. Berndt said Request for Proposals (RFP) are being accepted to conduct a space <br /> analysis and feasibility study for the Sheriff's Office (juvenile detention, alternative <br /> sentencing, patrol/investigations office space, juvenile courtroom). The deadline to submit a <br /> proposal is April 18th <br /> Mr. Berndt said because of aggressive claims and risk management programs, the NDACo <br /> County Employer Group issued insurance premium dividend checks to counties statewide. <br /> He said Cass County received a $14,000 rebate. <br /> Mr. Montplaisir said today is the deadline for candidates to file to run for office. He said two <br /> candidates have filed to run in Commission District 2 and in Commission District 4. <br /> 14. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Peterson moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> - Information on the annual inspection and certificates of compliance from the North <br /> Dakota Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation for the Cass County Correctional <br /> Facility, Cass County Juvenile Detention Center, and Cass County Court Holding; <br /> - Notice of a flood risk reduction public meeting hosted by the Cass County Joint Water <br /> Resource District to be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 8th at the Governor's Inn, <br /> Casselton (the focus of the meeting is to discuss local flood issues in the Rush River <br /> Watershed); <br /> - United Way of Cass-Clay annual report to the community, which is also available online <br /> at www.unitedwavcassclay.orq; <br />
