The Vector Control Board has been briefed and has approved this purchase. For the past 10 years the City of Fargo has provided essential support for the Vector Control District. This support included the use of off-road equipment owned by the City and maintained by the City of Fargo Staff. Cass County Vector Control has operated these units as well as their support trucks and trailers at no charge. These vehicles are used to both survey and treat the largest breeding sites in our treatment area. The operational domain of this equipment is primarily along the right of way of Federal, State and local arterial routes that, without the use of this equipment, would be significantly more difficult to maintain. At this time, it is prudent to purchase the aforementioned equipment. This equipment has proven to be mission critical and will continue to maintain the service and goals as expected by district residents.
