Commission Minutes—February 18, 2014 4261 <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> FEBRUARY 18, 2014 (TUESDAY) <br /> 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br /> follows: Chad M. Peterson, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. Darrell Vanyo <br /> was present via conference call. <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 3. MINUTES APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Bennett moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> 4. AGENDA, Order approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the order of <br /> the agenda with the addition of two contracts to the consent agenda, and <br /> a request to acquire a home in Lake Shure Subdivision through the <br /> Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) to the regular agenda. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded to approve the consent <br /> agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> a. Receive auditor's financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month <br /> ended January 31, 2014. <br /> b. Approve a raffle permit for St. Benedict Church of Wild Rice to be held April 13, <br /> 2014, at St. Benedict Church of Wild Rice in Horace, North Dakota. <br /> c. Receive and file Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Emmons County <br /> Recorder; and authorize the county auditor and county treasurer to issue a <br /> duplicate check. <br /> d. Contract approval <br /> - Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) program—application and <br /> certification of award for funds submitted by the Cass County Juvenile Crime <br /> Enforcement Coalition for 2014; <br /> - Red River Valley Fair Association—facilities license agreement for the <br /> Sheriff's Department to use the midway at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds to <br /> conduct Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) training at no charge to <br /> Cass County; <br /> - Department of Justice and Department of Treasury—equitable sharing <br /> agreement and certification of participation in federal equitable sharing <br /> program to allow the county to receive any shared cash, property or proceeds <br /> through joint operation with federal law enforcement agencies; <br /> - Flood lot lease renewals for 2014; <br />
