Commission Minutes--December 17, 2001 2396 <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> SPECIAL MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> DECEMBER 17, 20001 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Commissioners met for an informal planning meeting at 4:20 PM on Monday, December 17, <br />2001, in the Commission Room, Cass County Courthouse. The following members were <br />present: John Meyer, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Robyn Sorum and Scott Wagner. <br />Also present were Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, Joyce Schepp, Administrative <br />Secretary, and two members of the local media. <br /> <br />CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR FOR 200'1 <br />Commissioners discussed the chair and vice chair positions for 2002 and were in agreement <br />that Alon Wieland should be elected as chairman for 2002; and that Scott Wagner be elected <br />as vice chair in the year 2002. Official nominations and voting will take place at the first <br />meeting in January. <br /> <br />PLANNING FOR 2002 <br />Commissioners discussed portfolio assignments for 2002, as well as other board and <br />committee assignments. A final decision will be made at the first meeting in January. <br />No changes were suggested for the regular board meetings, which will be held the first and <br />third Mondays of each month at 3:30 PM in the Commission Room at the Courthouse. If <br />Monday is a holiday, the meeting that week will be held on Tuesday.
