Commission Minutes—January 21, 2014 4256 <br /> 10. VOUCHERS, Approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve Voucher No. <br /> 275,691 through Voucher No. 276,022. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 11. MEETING UPDATES; FLOOD DIVERSION UPDATE; PROPERTY TAX TASK FORCE, <br /> Committee reports <br /> Mr. Pawluk, Mr. Vanyo and Mrs. Scherling attended the Red River Basin Commission <br /> conference held last week in Fargo. Mr. Vanyo gave a presentation on the diversion <br /> project. <br /> Mr. Peterson attended the Fargo Cass Board of Health meeting last week. There was <br /> discussion about the new office space for the Fargo Cass Public Health and Fargo Police <br /> Department in the former Sunmart building. He said floor plans, which include potential <br /> office space for the County Coroner, will be out for bid the end of this month. <br /> Mr. Vanyo said he and other staff will travel to Washington, D.C. the end of February to <br /> meet with congressional members and staff from the Office of Management and Budget <br /> regarding the diversion project. <br /> Mr. Montplaisir will attend a meeting of the Governor's Task Force on Friday, January 24th in <br /> Bismarck. The task force is studying property tax relief, which he serves on with other state <br /> and county officials. <br /> 12. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Peterson moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> - Letter from Barr Engineering Co. requesting comments about re-routing a 0.7 mile <br /> segment of overhead power line by Minnesota Power located in Cass County which will <br /> move existing structures out of standing water and maintain adequate ground clearance. <br /> Mr. Pawluk asked about the location of this project. Mr. Berndt reviewed the area map <br /> included with the letter and said it is located in Highland Township. <br /> 13.
