Wiretirt r )ctAa <br /> CASS COUNTY <br /> PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL 3.10 <br /> SUBJECT: PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS: TELEPHONE, MAIL, E -MAIL AND <br /> VOICE -MAIL <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE: August 17, 1998 PAGE 1 OF 1 <br /> The department /unit telephones are reserved for County business calls. <br /> Long distance phone calls at County expense are forbidden for personal <br /> use and employee's personal calls are discouraged and limited to <br /> important or emergency calls. Employees are to use the public telephones <br /> for personal calls on off -duty time. <br /> Employees shall have personal mail delivered to their home address. <br /> County stationery, envelopes and postage shall be used only for County <br /> business. Photocopies made for non county related use will be paid for <br /> by the employee. <br /> Subject to the provisions of Cass County policies 3.30 and 3.40, Cass <br /> County reserves the right to monitor all electronic and telephonic media <br /> systems to ensure that they are being used for Cass County purposes;to <br /> ensure that Cass County policies on harassment are followed; as a <br /> quality control measure; and to access information in an employee's <br /> electronic mail in the employee's absence. Employees voluntarily <br /> consent to monitoring by using these systems. <br />
